Nutrition counselling for women recovering from eating disorders, disordered eating, chronic dieting, or simply desiring a more peaceful relationship with food.
Do thoughts about food and your body consume your mind?
Have you tried all the “lifestyle plans” and feel worse for the wear?
Do you experience guilt, shame, and fear related to food and eating?
Is over or under-eating damaging your health?
Do you feel out of control around food?
Do you worry that your struggles with food will be damaging to your children?
Would you appreciate a faith-based perspective on food and your body?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you’re in the right place. Whether you have a diagnosis, think you have an eating disorder, are struggling with disordered eating habits, or are just so tired of worrying about food – I would be honoured to work alongside you as you discover what it means to nourish your body and build a more peaceful relationship with food.

I am a Registered Dietitian with a passion for helping women build a healthy relationship with food and experience food freedom. This could mean nutrition support for eating disorders or disordered eating, breaking free from the cycle of chronic dieting, or support through times of change and transition, such as post-partum or menopause. I take a non-diet, weight-inclusive approach to nutrition therapy, working alongside women as they rediscover how to nourish their bodies while enjoying food… Read More

Kristina loves to provide a faith-based nutrition counselling approach for clients who value this. She respects each individual client and will not provide this service for clients who are not interested in bringing the topic of faith into sessions. What does this perspective bring for those who are interested in integrating faith into sessions?
Faith-based perspective – what does this mean?
I acknowledge that we are made in the image of God, that our bodies are good, and that food is good.
I also acknowledge that we live in a fallen world. When it comes to food, this means we have broken bodies and broken relationships with food. This is a result of the brokenness around us and our sin.
The goal is to live in light of redemption. We belong to Jesus and have lives to live to God’s glory. My deep desire is that food is not an encumbrance. Something that consumes our minds and wracks us with guilt, shame, or fear. But, rather, something that we get to enjoy with thankfulness, fuel our bodies with, enjoy with others, and see God’s goodness through.
It may seem impossible now, but there is hope.
Faith-based perspective – what this doesn’t mean.
Just pray and it will get better.
A Bible-based diet plan.
A one-size-fits-all approach, “Read your Bible, pray, and follow these three steps!” Nope, not that.
That eating disorders aren’t a serious mental and physical health condition (they are!).
