I love to combine the science of food and nutrition with the truth of God’s word. What does this look like? It really depends on your unique situation. It could be nutrition support to renourish a body ravaged by restriction or cycles of chronic dieting. It could be bringing stability to erratic eating patterns or slowly picking through the lies you’ve believed about food and how your body uses food. It could also be support through a time of change and transition, such as pregnancy or post-partum. But woven throughout every unique situation, we can remember that:

  1. God created food and your body good.
  2. We live in a broken world with broken bodies.
  3. If we have put our faith in Jesus, we get to live in light of redemption and this impacts how we view food, our bodies, and our brokenness.
  4. We have the hope of eternity when everything is restored and made new.

Ultimately, I desire that we as women think about food and our bodies differently. In so many ways, we’ve swallowed what the world has fed us about what is healthy and unhealthy, good and bad, about how our bodies should look and feel. But rarely does this align with God’s truth and our identity in Christ. I would be so honoured to work alongside you as you discover what it means to nourish your body and build a more peaceful relationship with food.

A little about my education and work history – I graduated from the University of Alberta with a B.Sc. in Nutrition and Food Science, as well as a dietetic internship. I am registered with the College of Dietitians of Alberta as a Registered Dietitian and Registered Nutritionist. In my 10+ years as an RD, I’ve worked in nutrition education and have continually pursued training in eating disorders and disordered eating care and supporting a healthy relationship with food, as this is where my passion lies.

Outside of this work, I am a wife to Craig and mom to Jacob (7), Audrey (5), and Aiden (2). My work as an RD is truly a “break” from my work as a mom. But I also enjoy getting lost in a good book, the rare occasion I bake alone (although I enjoy it with the kids too!), and spending time outside, biking, running, walking, hiking, and cross-country skiing.
